Dancing with Cows

The calves finally have names!
"Lindyhop" is the white bull calf.
 "Jitterbug" is the Dexter heifer.

They are still mostly eating and sleeping, with brief spurts of frolicking, but I know that soon there will be joyous scenes of calves dancing across the pasture.
"I could dance with you till the cows come home.
On second thought
I'd rather dance with the cows till you come home."

So very cute, the calfies and the names! I always named my calves, too. Some cows, the new calf had the same name every year so the Mooma could have a name that ended in -Mama (Carmichael's Mama).

The only thing about the cuties is that they grow up as pets and can literally love you to death or mash your toes off. They don't realize when they weigh a half ton. Do be careful; a Mooma with a new calf knocked me down and fractured 2 vertebrae.
